Took Dave to the vet
he’s been moping
shaking his head
he’s not coping
wetting the bed

tempted him
proper meat
looked excited
wouldn’t eat

getting thinner
day by day
thought he might
waste away

can’t afford
normal vets
found one cheap
vet cadets

signed disclaimer
took him in
two cadets
practising

one held his head
other his bum
Dave wasn’t happy
tried to run

vets were quick
squeezed his belly
then is anals
they were smelly

cadets relieved
he didn’t bite
growled a lot
though he might

checked his mouth
said”Good Grief”
found a Werther’s Original
stuck in his teeth
