Elvena’s Bad Day

I wonder, could we have a little chat?
We need to talk it over, this and that.
Are you suggesting that there’s something wrong?
No, no…and yes…I’ll clarify. It won’t take long.
That’s strange, a funny thing for you to say.
My goodness! What is wrong with you today?
Oh drat! I’m making such a mess of this.
Remember when I said our lives were bliss?
Emotionally I mean, we sort of gelled.
So beautiful. A love unparalleled.
Please tell me what you’re getting at. Explain.
Are you ok? Please hurry up. It looks like rain.

Could I just say, its me, not you, for sure.
Elvena, I can’t stand you any more.

  1. Love this poem. it made me laugh out loud. I laughed even harder on the second reading.
