Written for De’s Quadrille at d’verse
The challenge was to write a poem with exactly 44 words (Quadrille) to include the word ‘sharp’. I’ve actually snuck ‘sharp’ in twice the acrostic way!

Key Signs

She knew the pixels in her brain were glitching.
Had she been in the lounge, or in the kitchen?
A bunch of keys can’t easily go missing.
Ron (the hubby) says she never, ever listens.
Put them safe. Look sharp. Not inside your mittens!”

  1. This makes me kind of sad. I hope this is really not paying attention.

You don’t have to write to the prompts the day they’re posted, and quadrille prompts are usually open all week.

  2. Oh, thanks Merril. I only pop in once in a while so not too familiar with the rules.
And don’t worry, I’ve still got most of my marbles!
Should I post it to Monday’s prompt? Can it be moved?

    Thank you
